Hi,

My name is Thalia Lopez, I’m 27-years-old and I’m originally from Aruba, living in the Netherlands 6 years now. Before moving to NL, I lived in Spain where my older sister has a dog that’s now 15-years-old, I was jobless so my fulltime job was taking care of my sisters dog (Alejandro), I’m mentioning you this because he is my pet experience. Every day I woke up and made sure he ate, had his 3/4 times per day walk, sometimes I’d walk him just 2 times per day but then for 2+ hours walking around getting to know the city, making new dog friends and he made me be more social around other dog owners aswell. After Alejandro I dog sitted some other owner’s dog being an American Staffordshire bulldog, most people are afraid of big dogs but I find them to be big cuddle bears and with him I would go 3 times per day dog walking for 30 minutes, cuddle, get fed and then being picked up again by the owners or sometimes I’d drop him off myself.

Then moving here to NL, I lived with a florist and I would take care of his dog Billy which is a cocker spaniel. We would go to the beach, play fetch, it was almost like he was my dog the period of time I was living with them. Apart from Alejandro he was one of the fewest dogs I fell inlove with and was hard moving out and leaving the routine I created with Billy. But with all this experience, it made me realize how much I want dogs in my life and one of my own but sadly now I don’t have all the tools necessary to become a dog owner of my own so that’s where I come in and want to give you a helping hand because having a dog is almost like having a baby, they require so much time, attention and love. And that’s where I want to make it possibly a tad more easier for you.
