About me
11 years experience
I love taking care of dogs and they love me.
I'm an alumnus with a graphic designer background that graduated in June 2019 from the combined Master’s Scientific Illustration at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at Maastricht University.
Since then, I have been working as a freelancer.
I was raised with the love of animals throughout my coming of age, however, my love for dogs was particularly powerful, so within a very short time, I became a dog person. This is how I fuel my love through them. My family’s love for animals has always been tremendously strong, but it was only once I owned my own dog, did I truly realise how strong my love for dogs is.
I currently own 3 dogs that live in Turkey with my family. I miss them a great deal because unfortunately, I can only be with them on my vacations. This longing made me decide to become a pet sitter to sustain my love for dogs. As the saying goes “always do whatever you enjoy the most in life.”
This upcoming August will mark the 11th year of owning my first love, 'Çocuk', a golden retriever. A couple of years ago, our family number count jumped up to 13 all of a sudden by the addition of a lovely golden retriever that we found in a very pale and frazzled state. So we decided to rescue her off the streets. Once adopted, she gave birth to 11 healthy puppies. We allocated one of our rooms for her comfort and living space to feed the puppies. The mother, 'Kızım', and the last born puppy, 'Karadut', are still with us enjoying a very healthy life. Apart from my dogs, I've also babysat some other breeds belonging to my friends, all of them happened to be large canines. In addition to that, I love grooming them as I do with mine twice a week. They feel very energetic and alive which mostly leads to a playful and positive mood.
Last but no less important, 'Çocuk' was trained by a positive trainer at his young age which worked wonderfully for him and his future relations. I do believe positive training from the beginning always works for every dog out there, as every dog needs to be catered for and approached with care according to their characters. Their world is not much different from ours: they can be hurt, insulted and suffer from depression, just like human beings. Besides love, each of them has unique characteristics as their sensitivity differs a lot from one to another.
