Hello! My name is Estève, I am a French student of 24 years old who moved in Wageningen more than two years ago. Back in France, I was living with a 6 years old Weimaraner called Népal but the 900 kilometers which separate us made me realize that I really miss his presence in my daily life.

I am doing dogsitting because I feel that I am connecting in a beautiful way with animals, especially dogs. Time with them inspires me, relaxes me and reveals to me a very playful and joyful part of myself. As a student trying to be economically autonomous, I want to use part of the time to slow down in the restful company of a dog while earning a little bit of money.
By being patient, careful and a good observer, I believe that most of the dogs I have met trusted and accepted me very quickly in their own spaces. It allows me to understand which need has the dog at what time.

In a closed environment (like home), I am usually playful and attentive to the dog while studying or doing daily home tasks. I will install a cozy space for the dog in order to let them rest as much as they want and I will always keep an eye on them.
In an open environment (outside for walks), I am more strict and aware of what is around while trying to give space for the dog to discover, smell, run & play ! I am living in the neighborhood of Droevendaalsesteeg, which is a community of open-hearted and caring students and where there is plenty of gardens, fields and forests. I already walked and ran with few dogs in this area and it was always calm and exciting because of the diversity of landscapes.

Regarding my experiences, the last few years I dedicated a part of my time at raising and educating a weimaraner puppy who was very loving, obstinate, vigorous and demanding during 3/4 years. It was a journey to evolve and adapt at the same time of my dog's personality, but I learned a lot about dog's behaviours at different ages. Moreover, I am dogsitting almost every week since November 2022.
